Lute looks at a sinner, but all she can see is…
“Adam?”
“How the fuck do you know my name!?” the sinner demands, waving the broken pipe threateningly.
That is all Lute needs. She steps forward, not by choice, but out of a deep, all-consuming need.
She is met by a bark of, “Stay back, bitch!”
That is when Lute realizes what is wrong with this situation, apart from the obvious. Her body freezes in tandem with her heart, and slowly, she says, “Adam, it's me. You recognize me, right?”

The Soldier knew protocol. A failed mission meant punishment, then the Chair, then cryo. He had to go collect punishment, to ensure proper function on the next mission. It would be a risk, going back to the Vault. Insight had been compromised, communication was down. The Soldier did not know if the Vault was safe. The head hurt. He had been out of cryo too long. The words of the Captain on the helicarrier had damaged the neurological function. He would need the Chair to return to working condition. The Chair was in the Vault.

Hates being in this terrible, creepy underground facility, this warped reflection of all the other terrible, creepy underground facilities he spent way too much of the past eighty years in. Hates how there’s always an unpleasant memory around the next corner. And something worse around the rest.
He hates the realization that unpleasant memories are quickly becoming the least of his problems. And he really hates the sinking feeling that they might not make it out of here intact. Or at all.

In the wake of Albedo’s research into Festering Desire, and Lumine cracking open the Peak of Vindagnyr and restoring the Skyfrost Nail, the weather over Dragonspine turns dangerous and unpredictable. When a storm engulfs the whole of Mondstadt, Albedo is trapped in his camp in the most treacherous conditions possible on the mountain. Realizing his friend is in danger, Kaeya goes after him, as ironically his cryo can provide the greatest defense from the storm.
Meanwhile in Mondstadt, Vile, unable to find Kaeya, goes to Diluc with disturbing news. The Treasure Hoarders have learned that Albedo was instrumental in awakening the Festering Desire sword, and that he’s alone on Dragonspine . . . and now have set their sights on him.

Summary
Albedo, usually one for blunt and quick actions, was struggling to determine how he should continue. On one hand, marking the death as suicide, as it very much appeared to be, would immediately close the case and give the bereaved family some much needed closure. But could Albedo really do that when so many things didn't line up?
Sitting back in his chair Albedo let out a deep breath. He scanned down the page reading the provided boxes.

Picking up quill with a steady hand, Albedo marked the fourth and final box with a neat cross mark.
Death under suspicious circumstances.
Albedo stood, waiting for the ink to dry before gently picking the piece of paper up.
Albedo had a new assignment. As head of the Knights of Favonius Investigation Unit, Albedo was not going to let the cause of Diluc Ragnvindr's death go unknown.
When Diluc is reported dead as what appears to be a suicide, Jean struggles to keep it together, Kaeya is left in shambles, and Albedo begins to uncover the web of secrets and lies that Diluc left behind.

With Kylo Ren dead and Dameron enthusiastically working on crushing the Resistance, finally things seem to go Hux’ way.
