The Council of the Higher Angels, intrigued by the dispute between Charlie, Emily, and Sera in court, has ordered an investigation into the Hazbin Hotel. Emily has been promoted to Celestial Ambassador and will have to travel to Hell to gather as much information and testimony as possible about the Hotel’s activities. While Emily is eager to reunite with Charlie and finally meet her friends, she is seriously concerned about her companion: will the Head Exorcist be up to the task? Or, as usual, will he make a huge mess?
Meanwhile, someone is plotting behind Heaven’s back: a mysterious traitor is orchestrating an arms trade toward Hell and will do everything possible to advance their own personal goals.“This decree, unanimously signed by the members of the Angelic Council, orders the immediate suspension of the Extermination until further notice. France, March 1942 — A small Royal Air Force fighter is shot down over the French countryside, along the Western Front. For the two pilots, there is no hope: captured by a German brigade, tortured for information about an important Allied operation. Lute looks at a sinner, but all she can see is…
“Adam?”
“How the fuck do you know my name!?” the sinner demands, waving the broken pipe threateningly.
That is all Lute needs. She steps forward, not by choice, but out of a deep, all-consuming need.
She is met by a bark of, “Stay back, bitch!”
That is when Lute realizes what is wrong with this situation, apart from the obvious. Her body freezes in tandem with her heart, and slowly, she says, “Adam, it's me. You recognize me, right?”

Or; Lute gets Adam back in the form of a sinner with no memory of who he used to be. But it's fine, she can fix him.

The Soldier knew protocol. A failed mission meant punishment, then the Chair, then cryo. He had to go collect punishment, to ensure proper function on the next mission. It would be a risk, going back to the Vault. Insight had been compromised, communication was down. The Soldier did not know if the Vault was safe. The head hurt. He had been out of cryo too long. The words of the Captain on the helicarrier had damaged the neurological function. He would need the Chair to return to working condition. The Chair was in the Vault.

Bucky hates this. Hates this assignment. Hates this place. Hates everything about it.
Hates that he and Sam agreed to do Rhodes a little favor, go check out a not strictly on the books government installation after the last bunch of poor saps Rhodes sent there never came back out.
Hates being in this terrible, creepy underground facility, this warped reflection of all the other terrible, creepy underground facilities he spent way too much of the past eighty years in. Hates how there’s always an unpleasant memory around the next corner. And something worse around the rest.
He hates the realization that unpleasant memories are quickly becoming the least of his problems. And he really hates the sinking feeling that they might not make it out of here intact. Or at all.
