    The Blood God raised his netherite blade, pointing the tip straight at Philza’s heart.

    “-I will allow you to die with a sword in your hand, and once you’re dead, I will slaughter your children.”

    Philza fell to his knees without hesitation.

    Sighing, he sat down on the likely filthy ground, cringing when he felt his lower feathers sweep against it. Anything to be non-threatening. The kids' distrust was palpable and the only thing he could do was ask questions and hope for an answer.

    ”How long have you been out here? Uh, and who were you with?” he started, trying to construct a timeline of events in his head. Those were important, right?

    “I was separated from my two brothers a couple hours ago,” they explained, voice wavering slightly, “They’re fuckin’ strong and would kick the shit out of a bitch like you.”

    Phil, a man who never quite came back out of his shell after losing his wife, finds a very lost Tommy in an alley and offers to help find his family and give him a place to stay for the night. No good deed goes left unpunished and a severe lapse in communication leaves him bedridden for days with some new faces to help him out.

    OR: Murderbot AU. No, you don't need to have read the series to understand. In which Techno is Murderbot, AKA a security construct who hacked his governor module and just wants to play Minecraft but will nonetheless protect his human clients (not family, never family).
    Phil, Wilbur, and Tommy are said human clients, who come to see him as more than just a security robot.
    If anything happens to them, Techno will kill everyone on this planet and then himself.

They’re too important to the war effort. But he has the contacts of a hundred Human criminals memorized forwards and backward. He’ll be okay.

    Probably.

    In the end, it's frighteningly easy to sneak aboard The Angel of Death. It probably wouldn’t be if Tommy didn’t have the teachers and family he does, so he’ll give them a pass this time. Once he’s integrated, though, he’s going to give their security a massive overhaul because he is a little insulted at how effortlessly he got in.

      This fic was recommended to me and is what I consider a hidden treasure, would have never found it on my own no matter how hard I looked

      Loved this fic through and through

      The world building and creation of humanity’s history is just so cool

      Brief recap:
      - humanity claims themselves a rat, dog, or raven in order to hide in plain sight amongst the other space faring races
      - Tommy’s mom is humanities chosen ambassador and to keep Tommy safe she sends him off to live with Sam
      - later on Tommy joins the dream team as a pirate
      - Tommy’s mom asks Tommy to be a ship rat on The Angle of Death
      - he stays for two years before making his way back home to dream
      - at the end Tommy comes to rescue The Angel of Death because they’re as much family as any other human

    “Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”

    or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

    Tommy pulled said piece of plastic out, visibly holding it up. “I have a pen.” Something about the bemused look on the man's face made Tommy click it, and again, repeatedly.

    Phil doesn’t go into the cities anymore. Once had been enough, and he doesn’t have a death wish.

    He chooses only to watch them in the distance, or pass by them from time to time as he walks. The buildings loom in the distance, their once-shining rooftops now overgrown and dull with no one to take care of them. If you get close enough, you smell the stench of rot and death. It’s a smell you can never get out of your nose, discovered one night after the initial wave where Phil tried desperately to scrub out his nose, sticking cloth and then even fingers as far up as he could to try and wash the smell out of his sinuses. It didn’t work, and the smell has stayed with him since. He tries to look past it, look past the cities, and continue walking forward. That’s what he attributes his survival to, really. The ability to look past everything, stare the dead in the eyes, and still walk on after he’s shot them in the head. They were people once, but thinking about it too much makes his hands start to shake so Phil looks past it and walks on.

    (SBI zombie apocalypse AU. sort of phil-centric, but not entirely!)

      - zombie apocalypse begins

      - all four settle into the town they found techno in which houses a giant spore pod thing
      - Wilbur wanders right into the middle of the hoard and wakes it up
      - techno saves him but they come out scrapped
      - Wilbur decides to say and everyone decides ✨family✨ Once again
      - Wilbur has history in his last compound with dream and schlatt and bad
      - dreams show up with George and sapnap offering to blow up the spore pod
      - tubbo gets half blown up in the process but everyone lives
      - people continue to flock to the town and a community is developed

    Tommy wailed in agony, the harsh impact and unforgiving cold against his back was a horrible pain he had not yet experienced. Even falling had not hurt this bad.

    He cried and chattered for his sire to come for him, but there was only emptiness when he reached out.

    “ Oh .”

    The word was like a gentle breeze flowing through forest leaves— a sort of symphony in and of itself, reverent and gentle.

     

    The fingers around his neck relaxed until Tommy could hardly feel them anymore. He still keened and whined his displeasure, his sensitive nerves pulsing shockwaves of pain throughout his entire body.

     

    “Oh, hello,” The prey turned predator greeted gently. “I am sorry, little one. I did not mean to hurt you.”

     

    Tommy cracked open a stinging eye to see blazing red ones and glittering fangs before him. It was a predator like him, but older. Much older.

    Or: Tommy is VERY hungry and attacks the first thing he sees. This happens to be a very old vampire.

    He knew, of course, he was signing himself up for torture and death by offering that trade, but that was okay.

    Aliens!

    The adrenaline was slowly seeping away at this point, ragged breaths escaping him as he stared down at the defeated alien.

    This was literally the worst possible outcome that could’ve come from his and his foster mothers’ argument. Like, he expected maybe a scolding when he got back, or at worst the police called on him for running away, but no. Honest to god aliens.

     

    Or,


    Humans are a young race, and Tommy, a particularly volatile human, is plucked from his home and forced to survive in a foreign land. It certainly doesn't help with the fact that the whole of galactic society is under the impression humans lack the ability for complex thought.

    OR, OR, tommy is a sewer rat and the rest of space is new york city and everyone is irrationally terrified of the rat.

    A wrist was pressed against his mouth. “Drink,” Technoblade said into his ear, and any lingering hope that he might just kill him here or better yet just let him die from his injuries instead of dragging him back to their sire withered away. Tommy kept his mouth shut. “Drink, now, or you’re going to die.”

    Scorned fledglings either had a sympathetic adult vampire take them on as a substitute sire or died. The first was not an option for Tommy. Everyone knew the moment he managed to wiggle out of the cruel grip of his own sire that helping him was a death sentence. In fact, coming face to face with any vampire meant getting dragged back to those who'd laid claim to his blood. Few wanted to go against the Sleepy Coven; all wanted to gain favor with them. His fate was to die on the street at best. At worst... well, that's why he’d ran.

    Yet, he ended up blessed by circumstance (for once) with a third option curtesy of his best friend Tubbo whose hands were stained with magic and who was willing to do what was necessary to keep him alive, bloodsucker or not.

    (I adore all of the Dark SBI vampire fics, but I'm also a wimp, so I want it to all be a horrible misunderstanding and for them to all hug at the end.)

    Tommy has been held captive by aliens for god knows how long, when one day they drop an alien in his cell with the expectation he'll kill it. But little do they know that humans aren't actually bloodthirsty beasts. Instead, a terrified Wilbur realizes he's been dropped in a cell with a teenager far from home and in over his head. Tommy makes it his mission to get him and Wilbur out, and Wilbur makes it his mission to convince his family that humans aren't anything to be feared, and somehow along the way Tommy finds family in a birdman, a giant pig dude, and a shark looking man.

    Or,

    Humans are space orcs, considered the most dangerous creatures in the galaxy; no one has seen one and lived to tell the tale. Dream gets his hands on one to use as a weapon, but it fails horribly and Tommy is snatched by sbi. But not before scaring the shit out of every alien he meets and biting off a finger... or two.... But hey, at least he got two terrifying alien brothers and a dad out of it!

    The entire universe is spread out underneath his finger tips, hundreds upon hundreds of stars swirling in constellations he doesn't know, a melting pot of dazzling colors, vivid pinks and deep blues, swatches of yellow and green.

    If he squints, he can make out planets. Tiny little dots, hardly bigger than the nail on his pinky finger. That little grey one must be Lestea, the trade moon they just left, but the others? he has no idea.

    One of them must be earth. How ironic is that he's the first human to ever leave the Milky Way Galaxy, and all he wants to do is go back home?

    (In other words; After rescuing Tommy, sbi and co. embark on a roadtrip through the Esempi Galaxy to return him to his home planet, Earth. They make a few pit stops, piss off some shopkeepers, make some strange friends, and learn how to be family along the way)

      One of my, if not my favorite alien Au fic

      The best world building I’ve ever read

      Brief summery:
      Tommy is rescued from pet shop by techno and Phil
      - they run through the city until they meet up with Wilbur
      - they all drive back to the ship on wils hoverboard
      - Tommy has a translator transplant in his head
      - travel to Bezzar, Tommy wearing merling makeup
      - Tommy steals a cow from Fundys “earth stall” and gets chased
      - meets tubbo on bezzar and become instant besties
      - Tommy sneaks tubbo onto the ship when they leave the planet to look for ranboo
      - tubbo shows Tommy earth on the holographic system in the bridge
      - Tommy hides away with his depression/homesickness until he finds technos secret training room
      - after training Tommy finds all of the crew in the bridge with blankets and music to comfort him
      - crew makes a pit stop in netheria for water and a mechanic
      - the marketplace gets attacked by piglin brutes
      - Tommy gets knocked out and kidnapped and taken to fight in the pit

      - Tommy’s having nightmares/memories and finds comfort in techno
      - I have no idea who “the colorful one” is, should I know this??
      - Tommy dosnt want to leave the crew? But also wants to get to earth? 🤞 he stays in space
      - the crew makes it the the banquet on the big ship
      - briseus the piglin is one of the representatives, so is quackity
      - Tommy sees the pet store owner in the banquet and attacks
      - after being taken to the council for his court hearing, Tommy is given two choices, have his translator removed and to be sent back to earth, or stay and be studied
      - dream walks in at the end of the meeting
      - dream threatens Tommy’s family to blackmail him into agreeing to come with him

    If the history of planet Earth were to be etched onto the face of a clock, the entirety of human history- as they exist today from the beginning of time -all of it, would amount to less than a single second.

    And that’s only considering the history of Earth. The Universe at large is millions upon billions upon quintillions of years older than that. Enough time for stars to die, for solar systems to decompose, rot away into nothing but solar dust and crumbling asteroids.

    Tommy had never been a fan of outer space.

      Tommy kidnapped from earth
      - dreamon experimentation
      - attempted removal of eye
      - Tommy crashes ship onto MOC
      - hides in Phil’s me wilburs ship in the janitor/work closet hatch to the vents
      - gets caught
      - techno gets called in to help Tommy
      - sets shoulder and hip and keeps him in his shop while he heals
      - Tommy buys a husky
      - tubbo found in pet ring and rescued
      - niki galactic council member runs off with sbi
      - Wilbur gives up primary feathers for translator
      - music theory/winter festival
      - tubbo and Tommy get hypothermia
      - Wilbur forms ties with Tommy
      - techno and Phil decide to take tubbo and Tommy back to earth
      - niki finds out about it and leaves to tell the federation about humans
