His basement, covered wall to wall in drawings of wizards, paladins, sorcerers, and knights… He saw the coffee table taken over by dice, half-assed painted minis, cardboard colored and scribbled to look like walls, bricks, and towering castles.
El standing in the forest in the rain, lost and alone, Mike’s raincoat slick after the hours spent searching for Will.
Will’s fake body being pulled from the lake, feeling in his gut it just couldn’t be him despite what everyone said.
Jumping off the cliff to save Dustin, right where Will had supposedly died, thinking that perhaps it was better that way.
Or: Mike has a near death experience and is saved by some sort of sorcerer he may or may not have feelings for. A re-write of the second half of ST S5 for your pleasure.
