"It's possible. Easy, even, especially if performed immediately before the mission. As long as they're dosed with immunomodulators, the coma should take care of any metabolic swings, stress hormones…anything that could reject the therapy would be immobilised."
She doesn't share her thoughts on the morality of it, if she has any. Eva doesn't ask. She's already sending this hypothetical person to die. Maybe it would be easier for everyone involved if the human side of them died before they left Earth at all.
