Summary
A little over thirteen years after the Hail Mary launch, Eva Stratt is released from prison to assist the world’s bickering space agencies after a junior NASA technician spots an unidentified object near the orbit of Neptune. It appears to be on a direct collision course with Earth, and is moving so quickly it does not appear to be affected by any local gravitational forces, not even that of Sol. Summary
It’s over. They defeated Chuck and saved the world. They’re free. There’s nobody left to control the narrative other than themselves. Everyone else is moving on with their lives.
Dean can’t.
Haunted by Castiel’s final confession and crushed beneath the weight of his own guilt, Dean throws himself into alcohol and research. He refuses to rest until things are right again. Until Castiel is back with them.
Along the way, he is forced to confront feelings that he’s spent a lifetime trying to bury, and he copes in the only way he knows how. Anger.It’s not a pretty journey, and things get way worse before they get better.
