Summary
Where you go, there will I follow.
Gimli is not good at waiting. He will throw himself into danger a thousand times or more without fear in his heart - but to watch, and to wait? Helpless, formless, voiceless and utterly useless?
No, Gimli is not good at waiting.
Thankfully, he has a guide. A mentor who has learned these lessons the hard way. Gimli will not spend eighty years in the learning of them.
But perhaps he might learn a few others.

Summary
It’s almost funny. All he ever wanted was to play hockey, to play in the NHL, to win the Cup. This—Samwell, the team, the Haus—was supposed to be just a detour, but now it feels more like a destination he failed to realize he’s already reached.
(Or: Jack signs with the Falconers, graduates, and leaves. It's the hardest thing he's ever done. What comes after is even harder.)

Summary
Year by year she has sat on the narrow balcony and watched Annares grow greener every spring. It is a hesitant thing, the settlement of the moon, a new society opening its first bright leaves. The spaceships are still leaving and arriving. No one wants to talk about it – not her parents or her teachers at school. It has not been in the newspapers since the first ships left. It seems to Maena that her planet is turning its back on the moon, turning in shame or disgrace, as though afraid to look.

Summary
From a Hobbitkink prompt:
The battle was over, and Thorin Oakenshield awoke, naked and shivering, in the Halls of his Ancestors.
The novelty of being dead fades quickly, and watching over his companions soon fills him with grief and guilt. Oddly, a faint flicker of hope arises in the form of his youngest kinsman, a Dwarf of Durin's line with bright red hair.
(Follows the story of the War of the Ring).
(Bagginshield, Gimli/Legolas) In which recovery takes time, the dead members of the Company take to watching Gimli as though he’s a soap opera, the living struggle with being left behind, Legolas is confused, Khuzdul is abused, and Thorin is four feet and ten inches of guilt and anger.
