Simon should've been dead. Wailing against the submarine and killing the eel should've been the last thing he ever experienced. Instead, he woke up to find himself on a different ship in a different galaxy, rescued by scientist Ryland Grace and his alien friend Rocky. On the long journey towards Rocky's homeworld Erid, Simon and Grace learn to navigate their new situation after believing they'd never see another human again and how they've might've just met the one person in their life who knows what it means to lose everything and gain something new from it.

Summary
Five years after the world was ravaged by a zombie outbreak, what remains of humanity has learned how to survive in their new apocalypse. When an unfortunate run-in with some Reds and an inconveniently-timed thunderstorm forces Soap to separate from Price and Gaz during their hunting session, he finds himself washed up on the doorstep of a wooden cabin. Only he's not alone.
Soap should probably be more worried about the masked stranger with a furrowed brow pointing an arrow at his chest, but there's something intriguing about him, secrets hidden deep within his heart and walls impenetrably built up. And even more shocking is the fact that the stranger allows him inside to take refuge.
What starts at that moment which neither realize is the beautiful unfolding of a love story between two people who were meant to find each other. john inhaled sharply as one of the men grabbed his wrists, securing the chains until both of his arms were bound behind his back. he forced himself to keep breathing in a steady rhythm, watching the men pace around to make sure everything was in order. then, without another word, they turned back to the tunnel they’d come from, taking the light with them.

Summary
Ghost returns from a solo mission bruised and battered, wanting only to head off alone to rest, but Price intervenes, ordering him to the infirmary to get checked out. Frustrated and pissed, Ghost goes to keep the peace, only to be confronted and assessed by a new medic with bright blue eyes, a ridiculous haircut, and quite the cocky attitude.

Summary
The rest of the soldiers give Ghost a wide berth instinctively, their prey-animal lizard brains unable to stomach sitting so close to him even when he's geared up and can't easily feed, even though they know he's impeccably collected and has never even hissed at one of them in warning. Those that have seen him in action know to be afraid, even with him on their side.
So Ghost has no qualms about gathering his tongue back into his mouth, rumbling lowly; "Shouldn't stare at me like that, Johnny."

Summary
Soap is a PhD student, doing his research in Antarctica on the behaviors and hunting habits of leopard seals. During his expedition, he becomes obsessed with a leucistic seal, who he's taken to calling Ghost.
His attempts at tagging Ghost for tracking purposes have all failed, leaving Soap frustrated, but determined to try again. He won't stop until he gets the data he needs for his dissertation.
At the same time, Soap is stuck in an escalating, heated flirting match with a hydroponics employee at another base. It's foolish to form romantic relationships with someone he knows will vanish from his life once their expeditions are over, but there's something fascinating about this man that he can't ignore.
