“You-” Ygraine said, stepping up to point a finger in Uther’s face. “You are a liar and a murderer. The fact you think someone as sweet and caring as Vivienne is destined to marry you is a tragedy in itself, but if you expect me to hand over my brother’s rightful claim to Camelot’s throne-”
“My claim to Camelot’s throne,” Uther threw back, face growing more red as Arthur looked between his parents in utter bewilderment. Merlin didn’t blame him. He had envisioned Uther and Ygraine’s love story to be more… well, less based in war and battles.
Ygraine’s eyes narrowed as she grabbed a goblet of wine and threw it in Uther’s face. A few of the guards shifted, but Uther only raised a hand to pause them, spitting out the wine with furious eyes.
“You,” Ygraine said coldly. “Are unworthy to sit upon a stool, let alone a throne.”
From a few feet away, Balinor scoffed as he sipped from his own goblet. “I kind of like having her as a hostage, Uther. She livens up the place.”

The story is so good and I truly wish this was canonical season 6. It's not but it's funny and charming and heart wrenching. The ending was much more satisfying than what we got with season 5. -

This is 30% them bickering and 70% vague smut. They don’t explicitly have sex but they do jerk each other off a few times.

Summary

There are stories about what lurks in the tower outside of Gorra. Some say it is the wellspring of evil itself; the beating heart of all magic. Others claim to have glimpsed a twisted creature through its single dirty window. They say whatever lives there is cursed—trapped forever in a labyrinth of rooms, and if you go in, you don’t come out. Nobody ever comes out.
Arthur is sure they’re all old wives’ tales. The building is clearly abandoned, after all. But as Arthur delves further into the tower’s past, nothing is quite as it seems. Is this place truly home to a monster, or is there something else afoot? And who is the mysterious man who wanders its halls?

Such a wonderful story that provides an alternate take on (BBC)'s Merlin. In where Arthur is the one hiding secrets and has to 'cater' to Merlin. I know theres a light horror tag but personally it feels like only Arthur is experiencing "The Horror's" while for me it's something funny. Would love a continuation or a companion piece in the future but overall a lovely tale.
