Summary
When she dared to imagine it, she thought her return to society would be a triumph. She’d finally meet her people, and they would see her for who she was and they would know she cared about them and then they would care about her. They’d realize that she’s been right here this whole time, trying to help them as best she could, and then they would love her like all the information tucked away inside her says they used to.
But this isn’t Nahida’s imagination, so instead of going and doing something actually helpful, she’s hiding in a mostly-forgotten storage room deep in the Akademiya.

Its persistence is matched only by the Z-Team's stubbornness as they force their dispatcher to join them in activities they think will warm him up.
But none of it matters if Robert can't learn to believe he'll ever be warm again... or that he deserves the warmth this team brings him.

Merlin woke in the woods, made sure Arthur was breathing, killed Morgana, and summoned Kilgharrah. He reached Avalon, bargained with the Sidhe, summoned Freya, tried everything he could think of. When it didn’t work, he killed himself, woke in the woods, and tried again.

Summary
William steps into the Winnebago. Vyncent glances at him from the corner of his eye. He may be alive, but right now the bags under his eyes make him look dead again. He’s got all his weapons on him, the bloodied axe in a holster at his hip, the shotgun over his shoulder with rounds of ammunition along the strap, his chainsaw hooked to his duffel bag.
The blade of the axe and chainsaw are both bloody. So is the butt of the shotgun.
Vyncent doesn’t remember who or what William even hit with the shotgun.
It may be only halfway through the day, but he is fucking exhausted.

“So...” Ashe shifts in his seat a little, cracking his free eye open as William smears eyeliner on his other one. A startling purple iris peeks out at him. A weird, otherworldly colour, so deep it almost blends into his pupil, like a black hole in the void of space. “Where are we going again?”
“Right, yeah, uh.” William goes back to Ashe’s other eye, partially to make him close it so he’s not looking at him. “You wanted to get back into, like, spirit world stuff, right? Learning about it outside of your...” Book. The book. The one he doesn’t have anymore, the one that made him... yeah. “So I, uh, thought we could take a trip there? Look at some cool shit? Different afterlives and stuff. I can tell you about shit, if you want.”
Ashe hums. “And... it requires makeup?”
William nearly chokes on his words. “Well, I—I was thinking we’d go to a specific one, or something. I can—I can ghost-shape stuff to make us fit in better, but—I don’t know, I thought... makeup might be cool. For this one.”

Summary
It had been Dakota's idea to go climbing. He'd seen an advert for it somewhere, and had been enamoured by the different coloured rocks and the thought of scurrying up walls with ease. Naturally, this had meant that Vyncent and William would be participating too.
Vyncent had never seen anything like the climbing gym he was in before, but the rock walls did remind him a little of the cliff faces he used to scale, back on Fauna. Different routes were marked with colours, skill levels, and padding along them. The floor was one giant crash mat, that he could tumble onto without fear. The place was an absolute sensory delight.
He waits to make sure neither of the others want to climb.
William doesn't move to climb. Dakota has sprinted the length of the gym and has disappeared.
Oh. Well, okay then.

William didn’t feel the need to remind him that he still had weekends, and breaks to look forward to. He also didn't have the heart to tell him that he probably wouldn't be there with him.
“So?”
“So?” Dakota repeated, “Let's have some fun tonight.”

Pomni’s mouth went dry. Dryer than it’d been even after a stress of time without real water. She watched, scared for a reason she couldn’t place, as both of Zooble’s detachable eyes widened. She could have sworn that their hot pink face turned almost salmon for a quick second before returning to its original shade. They set down the tablet and turned.
“Ragatha,” they said slowly, “why does the catalogue of NPCs include a mock-up of Jax?”
