Summary
The magic reveal is not glamorous. After Ismere, Merlin confesses practically on a whim—while in the midst of his evening chores—and Arthur is forced to question everything he thinks he knows. What follows is a journey that tests their friendship, Arthur’s kingship, and Merlin’s faith. Known like never before, Merlin discovers that he has more secrets than just his magic to confess, some of them difficult and guilty; meanwhile, Arthur is tasked with undoing the fear of magic Uther has left behind in the kingdom, and in Arthur’s own heart. Together, can they defy Arthur’s prophesized death, and guide Camelot towards its Golden Age?

Summary
Dennis Whitaker gave up many things to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor: decent food and sleep, his home in a small Nebraska town, the acceptance and care of his family.
He had nowhere to turn and no one to mourn him afterward.
So, when highly unstable and violent patients take him hostage in the ER, demanding real proof that the earth was flat and pointing a gun at his temple, Dr. Whitaker readily resigned himself to the idea that he would die right there.
Michael Robinavitch wasn't going to accept that.
—
OrDennis is confronted and taken hostage by armed flat-earther protéstense; his only remaining concern is to ensure the safety of their patients kidnapped and perhaps not look ridiculous in front of his coworkers for whatever time he has left, especially Dr. Robby.
Neither Michael Robinavitch nor Trinity Santos are going to take the situation so lightly.

Summary
When Dennis agreed to cover shifts for Dr. Mohan on the night shift, he didn't think he would ever end up here. Kidnapped from the ambulance bay, his head pounding, and having to save the life of a man with limited medical supplies. That was supposed to be it. Somehow, he finds himself snatched up off a sidewalk, in the stables, in front of his home. There were no sacred spaces when you proved your worth.
In the middle of it all, Dennis is confused by the way Dr. Robby and Dr. Abbot are circling him. The way they'd reach out and brush their fingers against his skin. The way they made sure he ate, got rest, and stayed safe. It made him ache with something he hadn't felt in a long time.

Summary
"Mel--uh, just let Dana know I'm having a bit of a disagreement with a patient, alright? It's fine, all is well." Dennis says, and it feels like he's trying to convince himself more than he is Mel. His voice is a bit high pitched, and it sounds panicked. He knows it does. Mel doesn't say anything, quick on her feet as she scrambles out of the room, the door left open only a crack. Mr. Brunner grabs on tighter, the scalpel seemingly getting just a bit closer.
He knows she saw the scalpel, how could she not? The steel shimmers beneath the fluorescent ER lights, and the smallest bit of blood on the blade must've made it even more visible. Dennis Whitaker was fucked, probably.
or,
Dennis Whitaker swore today was a good one, but a drug seeking man in North 15 makes that a bit difficult.
