"You're what?!"
"I'm fetching you."
"Yes, I heard that," Arthur said, crossing his arms. "And where, exactly, do you think you will be taking me?!"
Arthur's heart leapt up in his chest as Merlin seized the prince's hands in his own. The small man leaned in, whispering in Arthur's ear, "Somewhere only we know, where we can be alone."

Arthur let his weight press Merlin further up against the door as he buried his nose in the man's neck.
"Arthur," Merlin sighed above him, his breath turning into a moan as Arthur bit at his jugular. Arthur hummed, continuing to nuzzle at Merlin's neck.
Hands were in his own hair and tugging.
"Arthur."
Arthur let Merlin yank his head up with a groan, further allowing him to smash their mouths together. Arthur could practically taste the tequila on his friend's tongue as Merlin lips moved, pressing against Arthur's so hard it bordered on being painful.---

Summary
Arthur accepted the little tube, placing it between his lips like Merlin said.
“I’m gonna light it for you,” Merlin said, leaning forward. “When it catches, just breathe in.” Arthur nodded, almost going cross-eyed as Merlin flicked the lighter and held it to the end of the tube. It started to smolder and glow orange as Merlin sat back.
“Now you inhale, Arthur.”
Arthur nodded as he took a deep breath… and promptly choked it back out with a cough. His mouth and throat felt all tingly and insanely dry.
“This is suppo- suppossed to be rela- relaxing?!” he spit out through his gagging. Merlin rubbed his back.
“Sorry ‘bout that, smoke can be a bit rough on the lungs,” he said. Arthur glared at him.
“And now you tell me?!”

Summary
After they had all died, all left him behind, Merlin had withdrawn from the world, wandering aimlessly alone for years. As the gap of time passed while Merlin sat on the floor, he could feel that pain, that loneliness.
The time ticked on. By this point, the sun had set long ago and the moon was making its way into the sky. Merlin didn’t dare leave his circle, not even once.
The air began to shimmer once more before him. Merlin’s breath was coming out ragged to the point where he was practically hyperventilating.
The new spirit finally came into focus, and Merlin had to actively force himself to not pass out.
“Hello, Merlin.”

“Lackeys can be wise,” Arthur insisted, and Merlin couldn’t help but feel he had been backed up into a corner.

Merlin tried to say something, anything, but the words were caught in his mouth.
What if Merlin realized the truth, and decided to be selfish, just this one time, to save the man he cared for with his entire soul? Nobody would lay a finger on Arthur, not if Merlin has anything to say about it.
