It’s now or never. With Negan’s back to him, heading out the door, Carl makes his move. He lunges at Negan, and pulls his gun from his belt in one smooth motion. “Stop! Drop the bat!” He commands in an ‘I’m bigger than you’ voice, though the evidence of the opposite is readily apparent to them both. Negan drops Lucille, making the boy jump at the noise. He’s so on edge, so wound up since Negan ironed that guy’s face.
“There he is…” If Carl had a tighter grip on the telltale signs and signals in a person’s voice, he’d say Negan’s tone is almost proud. The older man turns around slowly, drinking Carl in, “I knew you had it in you. It was just a matter of time…”
Carl wants Negan to kneel. Negan is a special kind of turned on by the request.

Set shortly after the events in S1E08 of Hannibal, Will, Jack, and Hannibal travel to New Jersey to investigate a string of elaborate murders carried out by someone imitating or associated with the late John Kramer, the Jigsaw killer. While investigating the murders and attempting to determine whether they are the work of missing FBI Agent Peter Strahm, Will becomes unexpectedly entangled with the only remaining homicide detective working the case, Detective Mark Hoffman. Unsure of what is happening between himself and Hannibal, and unaware of Hoffman's darker motivations, Will sinks progressively deeper into a dangerous investigation and even more dangerous love triangle.
