Named OC. Tags added as we go. Inspired by the Long Road Ahead, Solar Lunacy, and several other incredible DCA-centric fics I’ve binged recently.
Starting with the central premise of Long Road Ahead - what if Sun & Moon are accidentally/on purpose added to the FazCo PleasureWorks lineup? And what if they ended up in the home of a previous DayCare Assistant? What if there’s a miscommunication and they both think the other has forgotten about them (cause why not)? And what if in spite of all that, this is the best place Sun’s been in ages and is determined to do whatever it takes to stay? What if the previous assistant has a kid and they make it known to Sun that the one and only thing he could possibly do to get kicked out is to put that kid in danger?
Shenanigans! That’s what! Because of course Sun knows he’s at least got a better handle on his impulse control than Moon, in spite of the virus still wreaking havoc on their system. But when Moon comes out to play and DOES remember their old friend, things get a little trickier to navigate. Nothing the power of friendship and patience and a very strict No Physical Contact Of Any Kind rule (‘cause TENSION!) can’t fix.

It was probably all very silly, considering the precarious situation I found myself in, but it really was all I could think about.
Could you really blame me? I never expected to find myself in this kind of a mess. I was not some big shot, thrill seeking space explorer. I was no seasoned freight worker. No avid alien world survivalist. Not even a simple cruise liner flight attendant.
I was a gardener. My feet belonged firmly planted in the soil of a garden world.
