Summary
JJ Radchapon had always put more faith in logic than in anything staying put. To him, feelings were unstable variables: impossible to pin down, far too easy to make a mess of, and dangerous as hell when left to their own devices.
Net, though, had never needed to name every little thing to know what he felt. So he loved JJ with that quiet, stubborn sort of calm. The kind that stays, even when everything between them had been agreed not to take root. For years, that seemed like enough: unspoken agreements, carefully drawn lines, a life built in the spaces between what JJ was willing to give and what Net had learnt to live with.
Until everything changed.
Now, he has to face the most illogical thing of all: the chance that he’d been happy, and somehow, he couldn’t remember it.

Phop was staring, too focused, his entire being locked onto something on the ground. Kong and Chuay moved towards their master, eyes following Phop’s unblinking gaze. What they saw made Chuay’s knees weaken, threatening to buckle beneath him.
It was human remains. A fully decomposed body, barely recognizable as such, lay amidst the fallen leaves and undergrowth. And on it, clinging to the skeletal frame, were fragments of clothing – a distinct weave, a particular shade of fabric that was sickeningly familiar.
It was the clothing he had prepared for his beloved master, the very garments Klao had been wearing when he first vanished from their lives, only to miraculously reappear, seemingly reborn.
“K-khun Klao…” Chuay’s voice was a mere whisper, a broken sob that tore through the silence of the forest. The words were a prayer, a lament, a desperate plea to a cruel fate.
