    “Dinner or something, are you free tomorrow or Wednesday?” Max says. He rocks the cat back and forth in his arms. “I don’t know what you are doing these days”

    Absolutely nothing. 

    “Charles” The omega presses. Charles jerks. “Wednesday?”

    “I will message you”

    “Please” Max sounds hopeful.

    “Alright then, see you soon” Charles says, a little rudely. He opens the front door.

    Max blinks. “Yes sorry, bye”

    Charles holds the door for him because Max doesn’t have a free hand. He says goodbye but doesn’t even look at Charles as he leaves, completely fixated on Fievel and her spirited meows. 

    Yeah. He’s never going to see Max Verstappen ever again.
