Summary
“My sister used to sit right there,” he said, nodding toward the worn armchair by the window. “She’d read while I worked. She liked poetry best—said it made the quiet feel less empty. After the fever took her… the quiet came back worse than before.”
Seonghwa stood very still behind the counter, hands folded, listening as though the words were fragile glass he did not wish to shatter.
“I thought the shop would keep me company,” Yeosang continued, voice quieter now. “But it only reminds me how alone I am. No family left. No one who stays.” He gave a small, self-deprecating laugh. “Pathetic, isn’t it? A grown man admitting he’s lonely.”
Seonghwa reached across the counter and covered Yeosang’s hand with his own. The touch was cool, steady, grounding.
“It is not pathetic,” he said softly. “It is human. And you are allowed to grieve what was taken from you.”

Summary
After escaping an abusive compound, Yeosang has sworn to never trust anyone ever again. He’s alone, and he prefers it that way. He’s already made it through the end of one winter and, with the arrival of spring, he thinks he has a good shot at surviving for a while. His rules keep him alive, especially the most important — no communication with anyone, not even to save their life.
Then he sees a cute, chubby-cheeked man with a gummy smile and big muscles fall beneath a horde of zombies and he can’t help but break his rules. Saving Jongho’s life was a mistake he can’t bring himself to regret, not even when it leads to him breaking all of his rules just to see that smile once more.
On his own he can survive, but with them…with them he learns to live again.

Summary
"You don't have to say yes," Hongjoong adds, quieter. He needs to say it, even if he wants Yeosang to say yes, desperately. He says it as seriously as he can without coming off as severe. "I'd understand. Really. I'd just... really love to know how you've been."
Yeosang closes his eyes for just a moment before he looks back at Hongjoong. "It is," he says quietly. Low and edged with something Hongjoong's scared to call hope. "Something I'd want."
Hongjoong swallows, then swallows again. It keeps his joy off his face, only just. He measures the tick of each feature so not to betray how much he's fucking missed him.

Summary
When all Alpha idol group ATEEZ is left with no choice but to accept the unwanted services of a rut assistance program to manage their irregular cycles, none of the members are all too happy about it. Being made to buy into an outdated system they’ve vehemently spurned since the beginning weighs heavily on each of them - even more so after they come to meet the overly eager and excitable Omega who is now, for all intents and purposes, theirs to own.
It takes little time for the Alphas’ hearts to begin warming up to the unexpected yet soon welcomed addition to their dysfunctional pack, although Hongjoong especially struggles to fully shake the nagging suspicion that there’s much more to Yeosang’s turbulent past than simply meets the eye.
