This unfortunate situation had been triggered by a series of unlikely events involving the ‘most epic of epic dates ever’ and a falling ladder.

KT had asked what had happened and she’d told her; her aunt had passed peacefully in her sleep, some heart thing no one had known about kicking in overnight. The gathering dispersed, Eddie had been called from his own apartment not too far away, but Patricia stayed pretty much the same.
