So when Sokka throws a wild party one night, Zuko and Katara decide to get reacquainted—and this time they get along swimmingly.

Katara’s rehearsed this, and she never flubs a performance; so she stands her ground, remaining stock still even as adrenaline courses through her veins and throbs deep in her core. The weed is making everything seem vivid and fascinating, so she can’t stop herself from taking in all the details: the perfectly tailored fit of his jeans, the strategically faded Airborne Toxic Event t-shirt that’s been French tucked oh-so-casually into his waistband, the whimsically striped socks, and the fashionably shaggy hair that falls into his eyes just so, softening the sharper angles of his face. Their gazes meet, and she swallows; his eyes are still as intense as ever, but somehow even more unnerving.
A burst of furious envy erupts inside her. How dare you get this hot, Katara thinks. How utterly fucking dare you.

Summary
Katara has been cruising through her biochemistry degree at Ba Sing Se University, well on her way to medical school, when Organic Chemistry II puts a kink in her plans. The class throws her for a loop, and she spends long hours with the TA, a sweet guy named Haru. Then Haru is out sick, and his inscrutable roommate Zuko fills in for him. Zuko is handsome in a sharp sort of way, if you're into arrogant self-centered assholes, which she's not. Only, he's an excellent teacher, and when he's not being a jerk he is unbearably kind, and he captivates her in a way she can't explain. He throws her for a loop, just like O-Chem, only not like O-Chem at all.

Summary
Zuko and Katara have been through so much both together and individually throughout the years. From pirates and the North Pole, to Ba Sing Se and the eclipse, they had to be apart to finally be together. After witnessing her blood bend when searching for Yon Rha, Zuko found himself curious to what else the master waterbender could bend.
Mostly canon compliant, only the events of ATLA take place over years rather than months so they're adults. This is a one shot, yet I want to make a Zutara series.
