Summary
Text is the main story of this series. It's a bunch of text messages between Kyo and Ruki (and their friends and family) showcasing their day to day lives. The other stories, or interludes as I like to call them, are moments outside of those text messages that I couldn't help expanding on. The interludes differ vastly between moments like Ruki and Kyo having sex or trying new kinks, to pivotal moments in their life like when they first got together or when Ruki adopted Koron, and much more.

Summary
April 8, 1970: the day of the Ten-Roku gas explosion, and the day that 22-year-old Ruki attempts to end his life. Less than two weeks later, he finds himself committed to the Yamauchi Hostel, a psychiatric hospital in the Kyoto hills. Kept on a ward with a number of other ill young men, Ruki is sometimes frightened and sometimes enthralled by his new friends – and none more other than the 'untreatable' Kyo, whose hospitalisation hides a legacy of dark secrets...
