Summary
“Stiles.” Derek’s voice is clipped, thick, like he’s chewing something down. He lands silently on the floor and straightens. “I need you to pull up trail cam twelve. Now.”
Stiles blinks once, deliberately slow, then drags a hand in a wide, unnecessary arc at the desk.
“Hi. Manners, ever heard of them?” He doesn’t wait for an answer. “Great. I’m busy. See this?” He taps the monitor. “It’s work. You want trail cam twelve, you can use these incredible tools called hands.” He flaps his own at the keyboard like a flightless bird. “Keyboard’s right there, big guy. Space bar, enter key, whole world at your fingertips. Go wild. Type your little heart out. I’ll be over here not being your personal IT guy.” He swivels back half an inch, then swivels forward again to squint at Derek’s face.
Derek’s eyes narrow as he steps closer, posture tight. “Do it.”
“No.”
Or: Stiles flips the tables, takes control, and teaches Derek how good it feels to follow.

Summary
A locker slams; laughter spills in. Harry breaks away a fraction, breathing hard. Draco follows, not willing to give him space, mouth working at Harry’s jaw, then down his throat, slow, wet and warm. Harry’s hand fists in the wet wool at Draco’s back. He has to hold himself still. If he starts rocking into Draco, they’ll both make a sound that gives them away.

Summary
Draco cleared his throat, irritated at the heat creeping up his collar. “Don’t presume to know me.” He accepted the fresh whiskey from the bartender, ignoring the curious glance. “Anyway, you look dreadful. Is that your new aesthetic?”
Potter barked a short laugh. “Thanks. Just what I needed, a Malfoy critique.” Yet his eyes sparkled with something akin to relief.
Or:
Draco sought anonymity in Muggle bars. Instead, he found Harry Potter—lonely, reckless, and far too tempting to resist.

Summary
Harry nearly drops his quill. If Draco asked him right now—Merlin, if Draco so much as crooked his little finger—Harry would crawl across every inch of the Auror office floor, ignoring the bewildered stares, just to get to him.
He tries not to make a small noise, but Ron notices anyway.
“Mate, you all right?” Ron asks, turning from his own sheaf of papers.
Harry gives a laugh that is definitely too loud to be natural.
Or:
Harry Potter is a fully grown, highly respected Auror with important responsibilities, but none of that stops him from making heart eyes at Draco Malfoy’s waistcoat like an absolute disaster of a man.

Summary
Harry Potter’s life has included a Dark Lord, a war, and way too many near-death experiences—but somehow, nothing has prepared him for the horror of Ron and Hermione’s anniversary party, where the Weasleys are determined to find him a date.
In a moment of sheer panic and questionable life choices, Harry blurts out that he’s already seeing someone. And not just anyone. No, his frazzled brain picks the worst possible name: Draco Malfoy.
Now, all he has to do is convince Malfoy to play along, survive meddling friends, dodge a very smug Blaise Zabini, and most terrifying of all—not actually fall in love with his fake boyfriend.
(Easier said than done.)

"tryna be his wife, smitty?" Zack barked out.
Will felt his skin tighten with a sudden flash of shame, not because he hated the joke, but because he realized he didn't mind it at all. Being Mack's wife. He loved it, even.

Summary
“It’s okay. I don’t need anything.”
“I am not going to eat in front of you while you have nothing, Hollander,” Ilya scoffs. He plucks a can of cold ginger ale from the top shelf as casually as he can manage and slides it over the island, interrupting Hollander’s fidgeting thumbs. “You must be hungry, yes? It’s been hours since you left hotel. I can make something. Easy.”
“Make… what?” he asks warily.
Ilya rolls his eyes and tosses a look over his shoulder. “Do not worry. I will find something that works for your special hockey diet,” he teases. He reaches back into the fridge. “Tuna melt okay?”
“No,” Hollander says primly. “And it’s a disease. Not a diet.”
He pulls his hands out of the cold and turns, blinks. “What?”

Summary
"So, what now?" Shane said, his voice turning into a whisper now that the two of them were so close to one another.
Ilya shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know," he admitted. His gaze dropped briefly, not to Shane's eyes, but to his lips. While the crowd was busy shouting around them, Shane finally understood exactly why people had been placing bets on the two of them.
Shane recalled hearing about Gay Chicken from a friend of a friend who'd played it at another party a while ago. From what he remembered, it consisted of two supposedly straight people getting progressively closer to one another until one of them "chickened out" first. The loser was whoever backed away or generally decided they'd had enough.
