“Feng Xin,” Xie Lian says, breathless, “Feng Xin, Mu Qing left us letters.”
“What-” He starts, Xie Lian pushes past him, laying the papers on the table.
“Mu Qing he- he left us letters, Feng Xin.” He smiles, something happy and uncontrollable and full of longing, “they go all the way back to Xianle, Feng Xin, Feng Xin he left us letters.”
or, Mu Qing dies, Feng Xin and Xie Lian are left to pick up the pieces.
