“You’re wearing my shirt,” Buck finds himself saying.
“Oh,” Eddie says innocently, as if he’s just noticed. “I guess so. Is that a problem?”
Buck could say that no, it isn’t a problem. Alternatively, he could tell Eddie that it is a problem, that it’s time to get Eddie some new clothes of his own. He doesn’t do either of those things.
Instead, he says, “You could give it back.”

Buck jerks back, stands to his full height, and Eddie sees the last twenty-four hours playing through his eyes in perfect clarity, without one second of doubt. Buck believes him, instantly, wholly, without question, and Eddie suffocates the sob in his throat.
“Oh, Eddie, you’re…” Buck says, “wait, is that why you were giving that guy your number?”
“That’s your question?” He gasps through a laugh, and it’s wet and dangerous.
“Yes,” Buck says, without an ounce of remorse.

Even Ilya fucking Rozanov was going to know Shane was okay before the girl Shane had been seeing for years. Hayden couldn’t let that happen. So he lifted Shane’s phone again, scrolled through his contacts, and found Lily’s name. The line began to ring.
Rozanov stiffened where he stood at the hospital counter, then he pulled out his phone. Weird.

High on pain meds after his injury, Shane entrusts his phone to Hayden to answer his texts and tell everyone he's okay. Hayden realizes that no one else would have called Lily, because no one else knows she even exists.

But the video didn’t end there.
“Can I ask if you’ve ever been with another guy?” she had to ask.
And he, tears visible in his eyes, had to nod.
Just once. Just a single nod.
Why did he have to nod?
“Have you ever told anyone that before?” He shook his head. “Was it different? With a guy?”
