Summary
The wedding happens, whether anyone wills it to or not.
The vows, the ceremony – it’s all elegant and wholesome, and the ensuing days of on-site celebration are frenzied and full of good food and better sake. After one long, bitter day of self-control, of poise, of respect for his dearest friend, Madara helps himself to it all. The cuisine he eats with all the others, making merry with loud bouts of laughter and wide smiles which make him feel either exactly nothing or something bad. The drink he starts in their company, until he eventually, with what should be a pleasant buzz (but is not), excuses himself for the night with a bottle up his sleeve.
Madara deals - or rather, doesn't - with the marriage of his childhood best friend.

Summary
“What about Tsunade?” Orochimaru had chosen a fourth option: D. None of The Above. It was probably not the most strategic choice, but a little scientific inquiry before a decision never hurt anyone.
“What about her?”
Jiraiya’s expression was soft, and Orochimaru studied it carefully under the bright beam of pale moonlight that streamed through the window. He wasn’t sure he had ever seen Jiraiya’s expression like this, but maybe that was only because it was partially obscured in his shadow.
Maybe if he could see his face better, he would recognize it, and that additional data point would help him come to a decision.
Orochimaru moved, leaning closer to Jiraiya, so that his shadow no longer obscured the bottom part of Jiraiya’s face, his eyes trained carefully there, to read his expression. Jiraiya’s lips were slightly parted, and they parted a little further as Orochimaru moved, just a miniscule amount. Just enough to be noticed.
“I still don’t understand.”
