Summary
The clink of his drink order being set down has Sylvain swiveling back to the bar. He’s breathing weird. Shallow, and uncomfortable. Dying? Maybe he’s dying. Desperate fingers smudge across the cheap crystal; he takes a good sip and prays it’ll fix him.
It does nothing—not with the movement in his periphery as the man takes a seat at the bar. He does, at least, respect customary etiquette, leaving a stool and a chasm between them. Still, Sylvain wonders if he’ll manage the proximity.
