Soap knows, objectively, that Ghost is perfectly well-fed when placed upon the same diet and caloric intake allowed of humans. He is just fine coiled up in the mess, eating with a knife and fork like any civilized gentleman, chewing little human-sized mouthfuls without a care, and is far from going hungry.
But Soap also knows that, when afforded the opportunity, Ghost can eat a man whole, alive or dead.
