Summary
Rhynn, an experienced dimension-hopper, finds herself somewhere terribly familiar.
Exerpt:
"You're wondering how much I know," she states, looking up to see him regarding her warily, hands clasped around his staff. "Let me make this quick, then. Yes, I know you're the Dread Wolf. Yes, I know you gave your orb to Corypheus. No, I don't plan on telling anyone what I know."
"Do you have plans to hinder me in my task?" His voice is deadly soft.
"No."
She feels the skepticism rolling off him in waves and can practically hear his thoughts. There's no apparent reason for this strange human to keep his secrets, so how can he trust that she will? She's a liability, a possible obstacle in his quest to restore the elves. Thousands of his people versus only one non-magical human. Her back is to him, vulnerable, and she knows he must be considering it. She certainly would, were their positions reversed.
Rhynn hears him shift, feet widening their stance.
"Try it," she dares. She stands and whips around, bringing her face close to his in an attempt to intimidate. "But you're still weak, Fen'Harel," she adds, noting his surprise. "Are you sure you'd win?"

Nearly a year has passed since Rook last saw Solas. It's not that she intentionally puts him out of her mind, but the sting of remembering his manipulation of her vulnerability is enough psychological deterrent to prevent her mind from drifting there on the average day. And now, here she is; drifting. Hurtling, more like, thanks to the alcohol.
