    But as experience had shown him, and as people like to say, “The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry”. Well, he doesn't know if people actually say this —he heard it from an old teammate and found it funny. In Russian he would say “Человек предполагает, а Бог располагает”, which means something along the lines of "Men intend, but God determines" —it sounds way cooler.
