Aqua and I have known each other since we were little kids! I-I… I know how to handle him when he’s acting like this!”
She didn’t. It was a slip of her tongue which meant the opposite of how she felt; one of those things that she’ll say and regret. But, anything to keep Akane from offering Aqua support, was the most necessary. Akane, as Kana knew well, was someone who didn’t understand him.

I don't think the tags really sell this fic accurately. It was because I was hooked onto the Desmond family drama that I continued reading after all. Where's the Desmond family in the tags? lol
