John is just about done with Sherlock, so he does the reasonable adult thing: get drunk and complain about it with (to) one of the new caseworkers, who- rumour goes around fast- just so happens to be the youngest daughter of the local pub's owner, and very willing to get anyone a free drink or two in exchange for all that gossip.
It is a very sought-after service at the station.

Summary
Reborn as Midoriya Izuku with memories of a prior life intact, this particular soul overrides genetics. Even with an extra toe joint, this Midoriya Izuku uncovers a somewhat subtle Quirk of their own. They have a Quirk, but they’re not saying a word. They’re functionally Quirkless for the most part, anyway.
Until One For All is added to the equation, enabling their own Quirk to work on themself as well rather than only on others.
In which Midoriya Izuku has a Quirk, and is maybe more bitter over being alive than being labeled Quirkless due to society being complete and utterly unobservant assholes.

Dumbledore’s train when he dies brings him to an alternate universe with Tom Riddle asking for the defense post. There, he rights his wrongs and hires Tom Riddle as a Defense Professor to keep him from becoming Voldemort. It works. (Mostly.) Canon!Harry does the same unintentionally when he is a Firm Adult and stumbles into this AU Hogwarts hoping to teach defense. He cannot bc Tom. There is only teaching one spot available: Muggle Studies. Chaos ensues as Muggle Studies becomes everyone’s favorite class and gains a reputation as the most difficult course at Hogwarts. Tom Riddle is enraged, concerned, and… turned on?
