    Summary

Nightmares aren’t new. In fact, given the frequency with which he’s had them, Will should be used to them by now. The subject matter has changed over time, from the groundless, ephemeral fears of a child with an empathy disorder abandoned by his mother, to an unmoored, loner teenager desperate for connection, and finally as an adult both terrified and seduced by the images conjured by his mind.

Post-fall, Hannibal is gone, and Will's tenuous grip on reality is fast unravelling.

    Summary

“I ain’t chasing after you again!” Daryl called from the porch, barely visible now in the fading light.

“Almost doesn’t seem worth it then,” Jesus called back, cheerfully, and performed a little twirl in the mud.

“You catch cold and you can get yourself back to Hilltop!” Daryl yelled after him, and Jesus responded by raising his middle finger in the air, illuminated with the beam of his flashlight, not bothering to slow down or look back.

A rewrite of the second half of season 6, and seasons 7 and 8 with all the violence of canon, a little less main character death, and a touch more romance.

    Summary

The human face is, after all, nothing more nor less than a mask...

January, 1933. Mystery Novelist Henry Fox is called back to New York for an urgent meeting with his publishers, cutting his book tour unexpectedly shorty. Relying on the wiles of his best friend, Percy Okonjo, he secures a shared compartment on the California Zephyr, a train running from San Francisco to Chicago. Bunked with a charismatic lawyer and surrounded by an odd jumble of people, Henry settles in for a comfortable trip.

When the train becomes snowbound in the Rocky Mountains, and a passenger is found dead in his berth, an inconvenience becomes a ticking clock. Henry, determined to help his friend and keep an innocent person out of prison, agrees to play detective until they reach the next city. As the hours tick down, one thing becomes starkly clear: the murderer is, without a shed of doubt, still on the train; one of the ten strangers wandering the corridors and cars of the Zephyr.

    Summary

He doesn’t go more than ten feet before the glint becomes more solid, and finally resolves into, yes, a mailbox. Thank fuck. There are letters on the side that he can’t quite make out until he gets closer.

    A name: FOX.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” Alex shouts into the white void. The snow muffles most of the sound. Of all the fucking people.

(After an ill-advised attempt to get off the mountain before a snow storm hits, Alex finds himself stuck for god knows how long sharing the too-large house of his least favorite neighbor. Good thing there are lots of bedrooms, so at least he can stay far away from Henry Fox. Right?)

    Summary

He should be glad of it. He doesn’t want people to know he’s struggling, and they don’t. But why doesn’t Buck know? He’s always known, always seen through Eddie’s carefully constructed walls and carved himself a door into them. Even when Eddie resisted, even when he pushed back, Buck ducked his head and shoved through and found the tender hurt Eddie was guarding, cupped his hands around it and held until it didn’t ache so much.

And now Eddie’s bleeding internally, swollen with regret, and Buck doesn’t say a thing. Eddie can’t ask him to. If he opens his mouth, he might just start screaming.

    ~

There's distance between Eddie and Buck. Eddie isn't falling apart. These are two equally true statements.
