“The scavenger is strong.”
“Stronger than you, anyway,” Kylo spits back. He mentally supplies the obvious, needling response himself: that apparently she is also stronger than him, and he can feel a battering ram of anger from Cardo with some kind of tainted smugness underneath. Which Kylo doesn't have the time or inclination to parse out. “Is anybody not intimidated by a twenty-year-old girl who spent most of her life starving on a backwater desert planet?”
The rest of the knights raise their hands.

Summary
After his plan of sending each of the Knights of Ren to kill Rey backfires, Kylo must face the consequences.
A dark!Rey alternate ending to Want Something Done Right (E, KoR/Rey & Kylo/Rey, ~13k two shot).
Behind him, one knight lets out a low, admiring whistle that Kylo can hear even over the pounding of blood in his head.
"Give them to me," Rey hisses, teeth bared. It takes all his concentration to loosen her grip with the Force, to pry off the worst of the constriction.
Is that what she's here for? It's not even about him.
He has a light-headed urge to laugh.
"They're yours," he chokes out.

Rey was already a bad Jedi, so in the dark of the AT-AT that had sheltered her during her vulnerable years, she gave in to the allure of the fantasy. Kylo Ren’s tall frame and big hands, his dark hair and hungry eyes. His desperation as he’d said “Please.” The sheer size of him, combined with the peek at his vulnerabilities she’d gotten from this strange, antagonistic Force bond.
As if she’d summoned him, his consciousness brushed against her own, dark and tempting.
You hate me, he said in her mind.
There wasn’t a word to encompass how she felt about him. Yes, she agreed, ignoring the twinge of guilt.

Rey turns around again, starting to descend the steps, leaving him alone in the temple. ‘You can’t be here. Go back to your sycophants.’
He stands up abruptly and she flinches, shying away. ‘Have we really regressed back to being enemies now? After all this time?’ He motions between them, to the ephemeral, unbreakable bond.
Rey faces him, her hazel eyes so full of sorrow; it pierces straight to the core of him, an arrow to the heart. ‘You made your choices. You chose the Dark, Ben. You chose to kill the rebels rather than help them. There’s nothing I can do to help you anymore. So yes, you’re my enemy. And you need to leave.’ She turns away again, starting down the flight of steps that lead away from the cliff. The water in the pool undulates as her footsteps peter out, and Kylo stares into the pool, at his reflection, the scarred, damaged face that doesn’t even come close to portraying the conflict within. The face of the First Order. He hates it more than he ever has.

Ben, she whispered to the cavern in the back of her mind, the place where he used to live, as her eyes grew heavier and heavier. It was dark now, unused space that she couldn’t really fathom but could feel. As though the door that had bridged their minds together now opened into the vacuum of space, endless and black and cold, but she couldn’t bear to close it. To do so would offer a finality she wasn’t ready to face.
Sleep pulled her in further, her eyes slipping closed. And, as consciousness became water, slipping through her fingers and dripping into a dreamless slumber, she thought she heard a whisper from that vacuum in her mind. So soft and comforting, she couldn’t be certain she hadn’t imagined it.

Summary
