After a moment he hears gentle clicking across the loft’s floor. Derek’s claws are pattering across the ground, and it sounds so cute that Stiles can’t even be annoyed by the excess noise.
Derek whines again, nudging Stiles with his nose when he’s back in his orbit, and Stiles begrudgingly opens his heavy eyes to a sight that makes his heart clench.
It’s Derek, still in wolf form, standing before him with earnest puppy dog eyes, clutching Stiles’ pillow in his mouth.

“I thought you guys had a pack meeting or bonding or whatever it is that you do multiple times a week.” John tried, hoping they might have just forgotten about it.
“Pack nights? But it’s usually on Fridays.” The teenage boy looked at him with a crease on his brows, like he was trying to figure out if the man was joking or not. “ It’s a Tuesday, Sheriff. Also, we only have those once a week.”
“Once a- But Stiles-” The older man was at a loss. “Do you know where Stiles could be?”
