Without further warning, he begins to pepper kisses all over his husband's face, blooming streaks of cerise on sun-kissed skin caressed by the curling smoke of the kitchen.

"I see my dear is in a cheerful mood today." Qin Jiu doesn't shy away from You Huo's affections, his entire person beaming with an infectious happiness. After turning off the stove, he lazily wraps his arms around You Huo's waist and closes his eyes, resigning himself to this lovely fate of being smothered with kisses from his one and only Big Invigilator.
With my lips I worship you, hear every single language I speak with this pair of preserving love.

Qin Jiu laughed making You Huo’s hair stand, “So dear invigilator A isn’t as cold as the others make you seem.” The invigilator in question just glared at him in response. “Relax I didn’t call you here without a reason, from your reaction I guess you don’t know that we’ve been assigned on a mission together?” 001 smirked and took a bite from his sandwich. You Huo stared at him for a few seconds before saying “say where did you get this info from, Gin?” the name slid off his tongue with a familiar ease. They had never worked with each other before so You Huo didn’t see a reason why that would change now.
The addressed one laughed once again “why would I trick you A? We aren’t close enough for me to make jokes like that.” You Huo was at a loss for words because what Gin had said was true—they weren’t close enough to make jokes with one another, more or less they didn’t even know each other apart from knowing about each other, so why had he assumed that?or: What would've happened if You Huo and Qin Jiu got ‘eliminated’ by the system again. But still managing to meet once more, this time both as invigilators who know nothing about each other, apart from them being involved in the same so-called ‘system blackout’.

With Qin Jiu's adventurous imagination that a certain sadistic system of the past knew its consequences best, You Huo doesn't bother to prod further. Like the morning he woke up alone before sunrise, got silently marched back to bed by his own husband, and heard the bedroom door lock behind him without a single word of explanation.
