Summary
Jake is a good cop, living a happy life with his new girlfriend Amy and his co-workers who feel like a family. But his past does not stop hunting him. He knew his father was violent and brutal when he was a kid.
Now he's here at the precinct needing his help because he was accused of smuggling drugs. Jake takes the chance to finally earn his father's respect and show him that he is no disappointment.
But fuck. He always thought his nightmares were just bad dreams - but talking to his dad again might uncover, that his dreams were gruesome memories, that really happened. His father hurt him much more and in a different way he never suspected.
His squad / work-family wants to help him come to terms with this realization. But Jake doesn't know, if he will ever be the same again.
