"And then you act so innocent, denying everything," She snarled, simmering in the light. "I hate you because of that, you know that? You liar."
"I don't know what else to tell you," Ewron told her, in a chokehold.
"I'll cut your throat," Katie hissed over him. "That'll make you shut up."
"You're beautiful…" He whispered back, a longing look on his face.
"Get the fuck out of here. NOW."

Don’t get him wrong; Ash was very aware that Ewron was able to stay quiet when the situation needed it — as rarely as that occurred. This was empty, almost neglectful. A silence that meant nothing.
They stood in the middle of the ocean, a fair distance away from the shore of the Regime — its silhouette still visible in the horizon. Each had brought their own boat, per custom, one red, one lavender; the gentle push of the waves rocking them into the familiar comfort.
But Ewron wasn’t familiar anymore, and the ripples could not loosen the knot in Ash’s throat nearly enough to let him breathe.-

He felt his chest tightening, dread consuming him. His palms began to sweat, tail curling itself around his own waist in a desperate attempt of self-soothing. He was into deep— maybe he shouldn't have gone to Ash, he should've never met him, should've never suggested to meet up in secrecy and let him abuse him after each meeting.
tldr: Ewron uses Ash to make Nexe jealous and it leads to it backfiring on him
