Summary
They are at the epicenter of war, but they are no longer two halves of a power struggle. Side by side, Kylo Ren and General Hux have begun to reshape the First Order around their tentative new bond. When the return of a vengeful Sith emperor threatens their hard-won stability, Ren vows to destroy him.
With Kylo on the hunt, Hux must face an old threat alone. Allegiant General Pryde is a relic from Hux's dark past and loyal to the decaying emperor, and with the Supreme Leader gone, he seizes his chance to claim the might of the First Order in Palpatine's name.
Hux makes a dangerous bid to kill his old enemy that goes horribly wrong. Wounded, he flees, unable to reach Ren and fearing the worst. It is only months later, in hiding and desperate for news, that Hux learns of Ren's death in the battle with the emperor.
Hux sets out to find the last person to see him alive, Rey, to confirm the truth or die seeking it. His search leads him to Tatooine, and when asking questions in a Mos Eisley cantina, he finds the last thing he expects.
Ren.
Except that Ren calls himself Ben Solo now, and has no idea who Armitage Hux is.

Summary
Snoke is gone, but his death has solved nothing between Hux and Kylo Ren. The First Order's trust in their leaders wanes as they vie for power over one another, and if they cannot learn to work together, they may both lose everything they've worked for.
Forging that alliance after years at each other's throats will not be as easy as letting the past die, however—they will face subterfuge, enemies in the shadows, treachery, and being stranded on a hostile planet with creatures out of nightmare, barely escaping constant danger with their lives while having only one another to rely on.

Summary
Just as everything was beginning to fall apart for the First Order, Kylo Ren had walked away. Not only from the floundering war machine, but from his lover. Hux should have gone down with his ship like a true soldier, but he wasn't ready to die.
Now he's spent two years alone and in hiding from the burgeoning New Republic. Two things keep him going: the belief that one day destiny will come calling, and that he will get a chance to kill Kylo Ren.
When that chance finally comes, however, he realizes that perhaps Ren has been his destiny all along.

Alpha twins Ben and Kylo have a somewhat unusual arrangement with their mate Hux: they're together, all three of them, and it's not strictly a Hux-in-the-middle situation.
Except right now, it is, because Hux is trying to get pregnant with their child--one of theirs, obviously, but none of them want to know whose. Hux has stopped taking any birth control or suppressants, and his scent is driving his mates so crazy that Ben can't help but wake him up in the middle of the night, too turned on to wait until morning. Kylo, asleep beside them, isn't one to be left out.
