Summary
A song inspired by Griff O'Neal from the Tessa Arlen series Poppy Redfern: A Woman of WWII Mystery - Tessa Arlen. I was thinking about the heartbreak of fighter escorts reaching the limit of their range and turning west while the bombers continued east alone. Once the fighters left, the Fortresses were slow, conspicuous targets, forced to hold formation while enemy aircraft could attack them repeatedly. They were heavily armed, but without an escort they were horribly exposed. I wanted to explore both the helplessness of leaving those crews behind and the burden carried by the pilot who nevertheless had a responsibility to bring his own men home.

Summary
I totally love the Poppy Redfern: A Woman of WWII Mystery series. Unfortunately I can't help feeling that the author has lost interest in the series given her silence on the question of when the next book will come out - I have no idea when/if we will ever see another book. Hence this fic, which as of July 2026 is still the only Poppy Redfern fanfiction in existence despite the fact that I started it in 2020, which is when the author left us poor fans hanging. I revisited it in 2022 and the muse returned to me again in 2026 :)
This collection is updated out of sequence, but the chapters are arranged chronologically within Poppy and Griff’s story. If you go to the complete chapter index, you can see the chapters that were added most recently.
Happy to take requests if there are missing scenes or things people might want to read!

Another story that was supposed to be a Short Story (less than 10,000 words) but clearly has grown and grown ..
I couldn't help it.
When I was watching hockey games, I kept noticing the poor penalty box attendant trapped in an enclosed space with a large, angry, sweaty man and wondering what that must be like.
They're always men so I thought - what if it was a female attendant??? Given that the rules mean that they're not actually allowed to really interact at all - what would happen if they were attracted to one another???
ETA: 15 June 2026. The story also got hijacked by my intense emotions and frustration when Team Evil aka the Vegas Golden Knights got into the playoff finals. *nausea* So yes the story has become a huge mishmash of what was in my brain

I have no idea why I am writing this but I saw so many interviews where the players just deflect and go: "I haven't thought about that, I'll leave that to my agent" or "I haven't thought about that - will have to talk to my agent about it."
So I started thinking: "What if the agent was his wife?" :D
If you have read my stories before, this will be very on brand for me and you'll know the sort of story I write and what I include - hopefully you'll like this one, too.
If you haven't read my stuff before and think this will be a normal hockey romance that just has pretty people and smut - you definitely will not like this story :)

Summary
This story (which ended up being a lot longer than I expected) is not part of my Sierra Falls Horizons hockey romance series, but it is inter-related and it takes place in the same universe. It also of course exists in the same universe as my Do Not Fall In Love With A Rock Star series.
I've always wanted to set a love story during the COVID-19 Global Pandemic lockdown but while I played with a few ideas, they never really landed. Exploring lockdown through the eyes of an NHL player seemed interesting so here goes.

Author’s Note: My Fairy Tale Thing (But Not Really Fairy Tales 😄)
These are basically my versions of modern fairy tales.
No castles, no princes, no rescuing anyone. Just people with jobs, friends, messy lives, and relationships that actually have to work day to day.
I write romance the way I like to read it, which is probably why I ended up writing my own. I got a bit frustrated with a lot of modern romance where:
- the characters don’t act like the same person from one chapter to the next
- the drama comes from people being unnecessarily awful or not communicating
- or the sex feels completely separate from the relationshipAlso—if I’m already suspending disbelief, I don’t really want to spend it on men behaving in ways that in real life would get them dumped, blocked, or reported 😅 I’d rather write people I actually like and would want in my life.

Author’s Note: About My Hockey Stories
I love hockey. I also have… thoughts about hockey culture 😅
These stories aren’t meant to be realistic depictions of the NHL as it currently exists. If anything, they’re the version I wish existed.
Because in the real world, elite athletes are often given a lot, very early, and not always the support or structure to handle it well. The culture around them can reward aggression, ego, and silence more than reflection or accountability.
That’s not every player, obviously—but it’s enough that it shapes the environment.
So my fictional players aren’t built from that system.

Summary
A series dedicated to my new favourite character Lady Lyanna Mormont of House Mormont. When we meet her she is just a child.
Part 1 - Lady Bear: is friendship fiction. No romance, no shippiness. Just an exploration of the burgeoning friendship between Lyanna and Sansa, Lyanna and Arya and most of all between Lyanna and Jon.
Part 2 - Seven Years Later: is a time jump forward seven years into the future and it is shippy with adult themes. There will be an incident that suddenly makes Jon see Lyanna in a different light - I definitely don't like the idea that he might have been attracted to her throughout etc.

“Brat,” Damien says, watching as his fiancee’s mouth curves upward in a slow, teasing smile. “Every scandalous thing I have done has been at your instigation!”
“So we could just add this one to the list then,” Beatrice retorts, shameless as always, and just laughs merrily at the expression on his face.
