Ryland Grace is an 8th grade science teacher at Grover Cleveland Middle. After coming back from winter break, there's a new addition to his class! Her name is Elli Butcher, who seemingly transferred out of nowhere. Elli leaves a strong impression on Grace on her first day in class, and the two bond after a short chat. Elli enrolled at Grover Cleveland after escaping the Cult of Eden alongside Simon. Simon takes the role of a father/older brother figure in Elli's life, and the two look out for each other. Under the guidance of their contact agent Ava, the two are able to start a new life away from their past.
Grace meets Elli's 'tutor' (aka Simon) to discuss her behavior in class after a history of incidents pile up. After talking, they realize they live in the same apartment complex as each other. After their first meeting, they keep running into each other and inevitably growing closer. Along the way, Grace learns about Simon and Elli's past more and more.
All characters in this fic are humans. I will post my designs eventually on my tumblr (same user as here). Also Rocky and Adrian are Grace's colleagues, teaching at Grover Cleveland as well!

Summary
Rocky and Grace are back aboard the Hail Mary for the first-ever mission in the Star Angel Program launched by the Eridians to help save nearby star systems that are likley to support other intelligent life.
All is going well until their new-and-improved astral sensing technology picks up a strange radio signal from a nearby moon.
OR
The moon itself was fairly large, clearly the largest in Epsilon Eridani b’s orbit, and the magnetosphere of the gas giant could potentially stabilize a body of water like that to some extent, but there would have to be an immense atmospheric pressure on the moon for an ocean, because that’s what it was, to exist.
Once in stable orbit, Grace was able to see the ocean itself through the hull cameras of the Hail Mary.
“That’s very strange," He remarked.
“Not very. Look at mountain ridges. Moon mountains release gas. Enough atmospheric pressure for ocean,” countered Rocky.
“It’s not that,” began Grace, “It’s red.”

When Grace gets seemingly teleported by means unknown into the SM-13 right as it was nearing The Light, both Simon and Grace have no idea what is happening. Grace knows he was supposed to be in his house on Erid, Simon knows this new guy cannot possibly be a hallucination, and Ava, upon hearing Grace ramble about theories for how he got there, knows that new guy is Smart. Could-Secure-Our-Survival Smart.
She orders Simon to bring Grace back to the surface, and thus begins Grace's ordeal in a starless universe.- Language:

Summary
"Okay shithead, you just expect me to abandon my friend to an eldritch abomination?" Z snaps back. He's still in the water, folding his arms across the pool's ledge.
"…We're friends?"
"Oh fuck off, man. This is the last time I'll try to save you."
Instead of another insulting reply Z expects, Regect just… stands still. It's hard for Z to read him, especially because he doesn't really have a face to emote with, but he seemed almost confused.
"Wait, no actually?"
In which Z debates the nature of his relationship with Regect while trying to escape a liminal space full of pools over and over again. Featuring a friendly school of fish and their sick ass city.
