Sethos approaches to eye his notebook curiously. “Haven’t you been working on this draft for like, a week now? When’s it due anyway?”
“A week ago.” A moment of silence. Scaramouche looks over his shoulder, and his nose nearly brushes onto Sethos’ cheek. He flinches back just in time. Sethos’ eyes are wide and mirthful. “What?”
“Nothin’. Didn’t peg you as the type to finish assignments overdue, that’s all.”
“There are a lot of things you don’t know about me,” Scaramouche says, and it sounds a lot sillier than he’d intended it to be. Sethos grins.
“Guess I’ll have to stick around for longer, then,” He presses his lips to Scaramouche’s earlobe, “to learn them all.”
It's a rainy day in Sumeru City, and Scaramouche is learning how to love.

As boring as the lectures are at the Akademiya, its easy to fall into the rhythm of classes, assignments, exams. When the new face in town makes it his hobby to bother him, he finds himself less annoyed than he expects. It's almost... kinda cute.
However when he starts to form a cough, everything begins to go wrong. People around him regain pieces of memories that should not exist. It feels like that the simple life he was able to build is about to crumble apart around him.

His grandfather had kneeled from his throne, cradling soft, small hands in his own, observing the object of his hurt with such rigorous attention.)
(And then, he had let go. Stood up. An unreadable expression on his face.)
(“You will have to get used to these, my child”. Sethos sniffled and yet it changed nothing. “You will bear the Glory of Hermanubis, his wisdom, his legacy. These injuries are proof of your status, proof of your destiny”.)
