Vanilla's Underground isn't the same Hell as some of his cousins. Noir and Lupin, and Red and Edge's homes were much, much worse in comparison. And don't get him started on Butch's and Sugar's nightmare. But, Vanilla can't help but to think, if their Underground's are truly Hell, then his must be Purgatory.

Summary
In a world now containing magic and monsters, it comes as a surprise that the common trait that binds them is their love and passion for dance. It's a world you stumble into and embrace, but you have one problem: you really can't dance. It wouldn't be an issue normally, but you're falling for your best friend who up until this point has also said he doesn't dance.
Things get weird from there when Sans starts to dance again and you fail resonating with him spectacularly. Is your relationship doomed to fail before or even begins due to your two left feet?

Aside from the major powers that fell alongside him, these old heavenly angels fell from grace that mutated into sick, grotesque horned demons.
Demons that tempt to taint humanity.
Demons that thrive on suffering.
Demons that found entertainment in evil.
So what happens if these old geezers got a hold of a human soul for eternity?
Bound to suffer her raw soul getting beaten, torn, eaten as they force her energy for a millennium if not more?

Trapped in a hostile cold war between humans and monsters, you've been left behind in the city of Ebott, cordoned off as a monster-zone. Too young and too penniless to move away, you and your brother survived mostly on the kindness of Grillby, who gave you a job in secret.
But secrets never stay hidden for long in a city like Ebott. Especially not around a nosy skeleton who's decided not to be lazy for 'human-hunting' any longer.

Summary
When the human mages first sealed the monsters underground, they accidentally created an all-seeing entity that watches over monster-kind. When the CORE explodes, this entity is given a conscience; and when Frisk falls down, the entity watches their journey to learn morality from them.
When the Barrier breaks, everyone is freed, including the entity— or as many monsters start calling her, “the Angel”— of the old prophecy, having mistaken Frisk for being that messiah. That entity is, in fact, you— the Reader.
And Sans has always been a skeptic when it came to the religious hopes of his people.
TL;DR - Reader is the collective force of all monsterkind’s wishes to/for an Angel from prophecy, made flesh. Sans, being a scientist, doesn’t know what to make of this.
This is my first fic posting on A03, but not the first fic I’ve ever written. Please keep that in mind, and thanks for checking my story out!
