“—be okay. I’ve got—I got… you.” Peter murmurs barely-coherent words, and Tony’s heart sinks at the sound. The kid talks about his dreams. He talks about petting dogs that look like rhinoceroses and dancing with life-size stalks of corn. But now, he’s speaking as though there’s someone there with him. Or, he’s reliving a memory. And it doesn’t sound peaceful.
Tony bites his lip and thinks. Peter could wake up any minute now, or he could swing home in deep sleep without running into any issues. By this point, Tony has learned that Peter’s muscle memory is unlike any other. The fact that he can swing with his eyes closed is enough to give Tony three heart attacks.
“Pl—you’ll—please.” Peter’s voice is soft, and when he sniffs, Tony finally understands that something is wrong. This is more than a dream to Peter. “Please don’t go.”

Peter sleepwalks. A lot. And Tony is always there to make sure he doesn't hurt himself—until one night, the pain isn't physical.

Peter didn't move, well he was moving, but it was just his body shaking in response to whatever was going on inside his head.
"Hey buddy," Tony walked over and put his hands on Peter's shoulders, absent-mindedly rubbing his thumbs up and down. Peter was breathing weird, heavily sucking in a breath and then holding it in for a couple seconds before releasing it shakily.
Everyone watched with batted breaths, unsure of what was going on. Steve thought maybe it was a panic attack, he's seen Tony's breathing become off while having those.

He was the one who rubbed Tony's back when he threw up, the one that put heating pads over his stomach when the pain got to be too much, and the one that gave him gentle reminders when he knew Tony didn't remember something.He held him at night and felt the pounds as they eroded away from Tony's body, did his best to soothe the pressure that bloated his belly with soft circular motions, watched as his skin became pale, and coaxed him through the heart palpitations.
But nothing he or anyone else said could convince Tony to just see a damn doctor.
OR
Tony is sick, and not in the 'gone in 24 hours' kind of way. Something is seriously wrong and he's refusing to go to the doctor, because *of course* he is.

Basically, Grace gets exposed to a dangerous amount of radiation during an EVA and doesn't want to tell Rocky bc of what happened to Rocky's crew <3
THIS IS A REWORKED VERSION OF "TEMPEST" - after some comments, I wanted to keep the soul of the story, but make it more scientifically plausible. While there are still probably some inaccuracies, I still hope this isn't as messy as before.
