But it felt like something was missing. A big, gaping hole in her heart. No matter how much she gave, how many people she helped - she, herself, just was not happy.
Malcom Gold, better known as “Pan,” was neither loved nor happy, but damn if he wasn’t popular. Everyone in town at the very least knew of him; he was infamous and he certainly didn’t mind. He had “his” bar and that was all he needed to sustain his life of drinking and too-loud music and shameless hedonism- or freedom, as he would call it.
