For Grantaire, forever was Enjolras.
To lay beneath an eternal sun, loving and being and breathing together until the the sky turns black with overuse, that was all that Grantaire wanted. That was what Grantaire thought would happen too, until Enjolras passes out while home alone, and then suddenly the future became full of uncertainties, and the ever-growing possibility that Enjolras may not be with him for very long at all.
After all, June is fresh and newly born in the air, but under the bluest of cloudless skies, Grantaire may as well be dying too.

To say the photo was awkwardly taken was an understatement. It developed into an overexposed piece of film, the Sun shining down on Ryland's face, and the flare of the camera built a small patch of rainbow at the top right side.
The next picture was in their backyard, Ryland leaning against the fence. Colt let the dancing colours lull him back to a memory.
Or, Colt finds his childhood photo albums when packing up his boxes, and cries to his memories.

Ryland's face scrunches up once more. "I mean, space is cool but I don't want to go there. It's so cold and dark and empty." He shudders like he's trying to shake off the feeling of it. "But I don't think I could be a vet. I don't want to see animals die, it's so sad!"
"So what else is there if you're not an animal doctor? An animal collector?"
A giggle bursts from Ryland's mouth and Colt lets it warm him up from the inside out, burning away the darkness of bad memories.
What do I want to be when I grow up? Colt thinks, and the answer is easy this time. Somebody who still makes you laugh.
