“Nuh-uh, you already pulled that trick,” Kerry cuts in, turning the game system off before Johnny can reclaim his controller. The bassist glowers at him evilly, projecting pure venom and vitriol with his gaze alone. It doesn’t for a second phase Eurodyne as he sets his controller down and moves into his space with a wolfish smirk.
Johnny puffs as Kerry braces his hands on either side of Johnny’s hips. He looms over Johnny, never once losing his shit-eating grin. He’s testing Johnny’s patience, watching for a break like taunting a cornered dog. Instead of a snap of teeth, Johnny flusters for a second, looking away from Kerry’s heated gaze to the screensaver now bouncing around the TV. Ears laid back, but his tail still thumping as he doesn’t protest when Kerry takes a hold of his waist and drags him away from the arm of the couch.

Johnny can't stand this feeling. The way his heart thrums painfully against his sternum, or how his breath catches in his throat. He disappears post-concert, only for Kerry to find him hiding out in a bathroom with god knows how many worries in his brain.

The voyage to and from Marley will last four months and during those months, Eren's morale, honour and pride will be put to the test by three fancy diplomats who worm their way into Eren's heart despite how badly he wishes against it.

Summary
He needn't have worried. The small one was strong.
He sees the human many more times since then. It seems as if the herd doesn't venture out without it. He wonders if that one is the pack-leader. It seems logical, but humans are not always creatures of logic.
He forces back memories of that one, and continues to shadow the herd whenever it ventures out. He makes a habit of waiting in the small grouping of trees near the gate so as not to miss one of their outings. Eventually he learns to distinguish the small one from the others even before it takes to the air, and he feels proud of this accomplishment.
Months later, only hours after the humans had returned behind their walls, everything changes.
(In which Eren is not a human that can turn into a Titan, but a Titan that can turn into a human.)
