Summary
Mia opened the box with shaky hands, gasping at what greeted her. A large, velvet red book engraved and bordered with swirls of gold and three gems shimmered and gleamed, as if happy to see her after so many years. The cover read: The Legend of Centopia.
“Centopia,” Mia whispered, caressing the cover with nostalgia and wonder as she opened it up. “I totally forgot about this...”
When the pages revealed familiar runes and pictures, Mia could simply feel the cloud of negativity being swept away by a bright yellow sun.
The book was written in elvish runes, a language her father had taught her to read when she was young. And as she continued turning the pages, she stopped on a familiar illustration next to a large set of runes that took up the entire page. It read: The Hero of Centopia.
Or, a darker rewrite of Centopia with expanded world building!

Summary
Lance McClain was not brave.
If there was one thing he remembered, it was that.
He was stranded alone in space with friends whom he couldn't remember. They were alive, but unlike Lance, they were trapped in their comatose state, unable to wake up. Unable to help him. And unable to do anything about the fact that the sun was dying.
It was slowly being eaten away by little black dots dubbed astrophage by VLD (Voltron: Legendary Defender, the space program leading the mission to save the sun on Altea. Within the next couple of generations, over half the world's population would be gone due to the sun's temperature rapidly decreasing to a point at which most species, including Alteans, wouldn’t be able to survive.
By the time he came around to /that/ shocking realization, he knew enough about himself to pose one slightly worrying question:
Why was there a giant battleship outside his window?

Her left arm buckled, it was small, but just enough for the phantom to sink its claws even deeper into her left shoulder. From there, her resolve fell.
"Ashlyn!"

Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

Summary
