    Clint Barton has spent his whole life running away from things, long before he was old enough to understand why. Then came SHIELD, and the Avengers, and he thought that for once, he could learn how to stay instead. Could learn to trust, instead of hide. To live, instead of just survive.

    When Hydra takes over SHIELD, running isn't an option. But Clint isn't so sure he wants to this time. Because now he has something to fight for. Now he has family, and friends, and a potential ally in a brainwashed super-soldier with pretty blue eyes and a questionable memory. Now he has a home. And he's going to do whatever it takes to get that back.
