Summary
A year after the war ended, everyone was busy scrapping off what they had left & start anew again. Lots of people died, and lots of people went missing. They were considered dead. Hyunjin was also one of them.
But then Chan found the supposedly dead boy in a military camp, living as a refugee with no memory of his past.
With Chan's help, Hyunjin tried to start a new life again, but it seemed challenging when the people from his past refused to accept him again.

“Hyung… what..?” Hyunjin’s mind couldn’t form any coherent word as he stared down at the big carton in front of him, then back to Changbin who looked a little taken aback that Hyunjin found it.
Paper rings. The exact same ones Changbin used to give him back then. But he couldn’t understand why there were so many. Hyunjin didn’t have to count to say that there were hundreds of paper rings of all different colors.
“These are yours,” Hyunjin slowly looked up at Changbin who let out a breathy chuckle before holding out the rings in front of him. “Each ring for the days I missed you."

He was expecting the younger to ignore him or scream at him, calling him names actually. He had been mentally preparing himself for that, but here was Minho- sitting right in front of him, nodding at Chan's reply as if they were okay, which obviously wasn’t true. He could feel an invisible wall between them; one that might be impossible for Chan to break down after all these years.

All these years he had to walk around with bandaids only to be roomates with handsome Lee Donghyuck and his fucking godly scent.
Or: Donghyuck’s scent is the only thing that made him feel at home.
