Summary
It was rare that they got the time to do this. Chimney taking over as captain and Maddie's new role as supervisor, along with two kids under the age of six, didn't leave a lot of time to do more than regular vanilla sex.
But tonight, they could take as long as they wanted. Buck had offered to take Jee and Nash overnight so they could have a proper date night. Needless to say, Maddie immediately knew what the night would entail once they got back from dinner. She just wasn't sure if her husband did.

Summary
Eddie wanted to tell other people. He wanted to share this part of himself that he'd kept hidden and locked away with his friends. He also wanted to get on his knees, cling to his best friend's legs, and refuse to let go while he confessed his undying love to him.
Rushing into things, it turns out, wasn't a symptom of being a repressed and closeted homosexual. It was just a symptom of being Eddie Diaz.

Eddie sighed again and brought a hand to his face. "I had a nightmare that Chris got his girlfriend pregnant, and I became a grandfather at thirty-four years old," he said more clearly.
Buck froze. "Oh," he replied. He let go of Eddie's arms and crossed his own over his chest. He clenched his jaw, trying not to laugh.
Eddie squinted his eyes at Buck and pouted. "You wanna laugh, don't you?"
"No," Buck lied.

Eddie stiffened. “What?” he asked.
Elaine looked up from where she was taking notes. “Buck. From what you’ve told me it seems like he’s a very integral part of both yours and Christopher's life.”
“Buck’s just my best friend,” Eddie clarified.
Elaine raised an eyebrow. “I didn’t say otherwise. I simply meant to point out you have an easier time allowing your friends in rather than romantic partners. You made that connection on your own. Is there something different about your relationship with Buck?”
“No,” Eddie snapped before he could think.

Summary
She shakes her head. “I don’t want to play princesses anymore,” she says.
Eddie feels his stomach churn. Why does that bother him? He should be happy. He’s terrible at this game. He’s always been bad at playing pretend. It’s never been fun for him.
So why, he wonders, does the idea of going back to Normal Eddie feel like such a task?
He swallows. “What if I want to keep being Princess Eddie?” he whispers.
Eddie plays princesses with Jee. It breaks him.

Summary
The idea comes to him on one of his drives through the mountains.
He’s driving up, and up, and up until the road has a steep, sheer drop on one side, and nobody’s driving alongside him. He’s headed to the top of a mountain. There’s a gravel pull-off right before a hairpin turn. The turn is protected by a flimsy guardrail.
Eddie parks on the pull-off and walks over to look past the guardrail.
Nothing underneath. Just dry underbrush. A shallow stream right at the bottom. Thin vegetation. If a car missed the curve at a fair speed, it would plummet down the cliff. Next to no chance of survival.
And Eddie’s known to drive, to clear his own head. He used to do it to find hiking trails for him and Buck, or roadside attractions or activities that Christopher might like. It’s a known hobby of his. He’s a good driver.
So it’s not convincing if he crashes in good weather. He’ll have to wait for a storm.
But it’ll work. It has to work.
(Or: Eddie and all the ways you shouldn't love your loved ones.)

“Buck, seriously.” Eddie catches his eye, staring intently, attempting to beam the anxiety straight into Buck’s brain. “I know we’re both playing it cool, but… How are you not freaking out right now? I’m freaking out right now.”
Buck quirks an eyebrow. “I thought you didn’t panic.”
“I don’t,” Eddie insists. “But I woke up in the wrong body this morning, and I had to—” He lowers his voice, ducking closer to Buck. “I touched your dick, man. Which—you know.”
A violation of boundaries. A line that can’t be uncrossed. Something Eddie feels deeply guilty about.
“You touched my dick?” Buck asks, approximately one billion decibels louder than necessary.
The room around them stills.
Or: Buck and Eddie switch bodies. Chaos ensues.

Summary
Ever so carefully- as if his hair were made of glass instead of silk and daydreams- Viktor reaches his hand out, his fingers stretching toward Jayce’s hair. He wavers for a moment, hesitating only a second- what if Jayce pulls away? What if he is misreading this whole scenario? What if he crosses a line that cannot be uncrossed-
He is laying with his head in your lap, Viktor chides himself. If anyone crossed a line, it was him. This is merely retaliation- the consequences of his actions. Something Jayce needs exposure to anyway.
And with that, Viktor slips his fingers into Jayce’s hair.
