“What did you do to me?”
Eda waved her off. “I just gave you a little something that’ll make you less of an easy target.”
“That’s so mysterious and cryptic.” Luz whispered intensely. “Do I have magic powers now?”
Eda snorted. “Hah! No. But like I said, it’s nothin’ for you to sweat about, kid, so don’t dwell on it. Heck, if anything, forget this even happened.”
